CONFIRMATION

The sacrament of Confirmation gives adolescents and adults the opportunity to make a mature confession of faith in the God made known in Jesus Christ. At St. Mark’s, preparation for Confirmation takes places during the winter months, as participants meet together to learn about God, faith, and the church; share stories from their own lives; and get to know an adult mentors, picked especially for each person in the class.

GOD’S STORY, MY STORY

The Confirmation class (which runs every even year in the fall) uses Pastor Adam’s curriculum titled God’s Story, My Story. This program pairs topical teaching with personal story-sharing, as a way to connect (as the name suggests) the vast compendium of God’s movement in creation with the lives of each of God’s beloved people. Along with sharing during class, participants have the opportunity to share one-on-one with adult mentors. This class is open to 9th and 10th graders. The ten sessions are as follows.
