The WARM Center in Westerly, Rhode Island, serves several titanic needs in the community: it provides short and long term housing for those with no homes, it serves meals everyday for those with no food, and it coaches people in various skills to help those with no jobs find meaningful and stable employment. We partner with the WARM Center to provide meals multiple times per month, usually one hot meal cooked in our kitchen by adult volunteers and one cold meal assembled by our M.I.X. youth group members. These cooks also serve the meal at the center in Westerly.
Our partnership with the WARM Center continues with support for their various fundraisers throughout the year, as well as helping with their bag lunch program for children during the summer months when they do not have the opportunity to eat a free lunch at school.
We hope to expand this partnership with new ventures in the coming years.
